Man, I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve updated.  Geez.  A lot has happened, and I have SO much work to do right now, so I don’t really have sufficient time to detail everything, but here’s the gist:

1. C and I are trying to work things out.  (Supposedly) he realizes how much I mean to him and that he wants to be with me and no one else and wants us to work on communicating better (at all) when we have issues with each other.  Etc.  He’s doing really well so far in doing some of things we’ve talked about, but of course I assumed he would do everything in his power to keep me around, at least in the beginning.  We’ll see if he still appreciates me this much in a few months when we’re back to our regular routines again.  Either way, so far, so good, and I’m trying to be really positive and giving him the benefit of the doubt and trying to look forward, not backward.  (K advised me to do that.  I’m not sure this is exactly what she had in mind, heh, but she has given me lots of good advice since this whole thing went down, and so have a LOT of other people, which I have really appreciated and valued.)

2.  The Broadway Revue show I was in came off without a hitch (I think), and I was the vocal star, hehe.  My song was boring, just as I knew it was, but at least I sounded good, I guess.  The guy playing opposite me, who is literally 20 years my senior, freaking slipped me the tongue, and it was NOT appreciated or enjoyed in the least bit.  GROSS.  And then his sweet, uber-Texan wife chatted me up in the lobby afterward, and I was REALLY hoping she couldn’t tell what was going on from her seat.  YUCK.  Why are men so…whatever?

3.  I got to meet Saru-San!  I am extremely cool, obviously.  Now if only he’ll agree to hang out with me when I’m not wearing a ridiculous Shirley Jones-esque dress and outfitted with more make-up and curly hair than…someone who wears too much make-up and has curly hair.  I dunno.  Saru, will you be my diary-fwend??  I think K and Curly E were hoping to say hi to you, so I kind of suck.  Please excuse.

Dude, are my co-workers EVER going to get back so that I can go to lunch?  For the love.  Debilita is waiting to have lunch for me and to give me my tax refund check!  I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy a photo printer and save most of the rest of it for a trip of some sort.  I’d like to visit New York, but I’d REALLY like to go to a white sand, clear water beach.  Yay!

Hey.  Mr. Tambourine man.  Play a song for me, will ya?

P.S. You guys are the greatest.  I’m serious.  All your comments and kind words mean so much.

  1. OH MY GOD! I can’t believe that groooosssss guy did that to you while you were on stage. Bleh! I thought it was fishy the way he was holding you. Gross! Gross! Gross! He is way to old to be doing that kind of shit! Next time knee him in the balls. (hopefully there isn’t a next time) Oh, gross!

  2. I can’t believe Saru got to see you perform. Jealousy!

  3. I was surprised that you and Saru had not met before this. Like Mark, I am also jealous! I wish I could have seen you perform as well. I read Saru-san’s blog about the event and thought how wonderful it was that you had friends from all over to support you.

How utterly tastless of that icky man to slip you the tongue! It’s one thing if partners are mutually agreeable no matter the age (you know how I feel about age differences), but to do such a thing to someone unsuspecting and when he has a WIFE? In the audience even? EWWW! Tacky, tacky. I hope you never have to perform with him again and if you do? I hope you are in a position to kick him where it hurts.

As for you working it out with C, I hope it all goes well. It’s hard to recover from broken trust, but it can be done. I wish you every good thing!

  4. Updates rule — Old man tongue does not. Good luck to you and C. I would mention the fact that FLOWERS are a great way to make amends (constantly, every day, for like, three months). Just a thought… =)

  5. Good luck with C, all the best there.

I’m so glad your performance went well. As for creepy actor… ew. I swear some people just have no class. I really hope you never have to deal with him again, at least not that up close and personal. If you do, and he pulls that shit again, feel free to tell his wife. That should take care of it right quick. :)
