as in, record of the longest time between writing blog entries EVER.

so hi.  here i am again, wayyyyyy behind on writing.  and reading for that matter.  everything.

things were a little crazy there for a bit.  now i’m settling back into a routine.  a new routine.

i’ll start at the beginning.  (the beginning of the end of my writing.)

oklahoma!  it came it went it conquered.  ??  here is the proof:

dream ballet

that’s those of us who were in the Dream Ballet.  yes, i–no-dance-girl, was in the BALLET.  of course, as a bridesmaid, there was no actual dancing required.  phew.

me &

That’s me & “Gertie” backstage during the last Sunday performance, after we had conquered the Great Zipper Debacle of 2006.  See, “Gertie” was our resident costume expert, so when I realized I was wearing the wrong costume before going onstage for Act II on Saturday night’s performance, ran upstairs to the dressing room to change, and got my zipper stuck about 1/8 of the way down, there was no one else to turn to.  She saved me!  I got my yellow dress, hat, glasses, and belt on JUST in the nick of time (when the old beloved favorite country/western song began to play throughout the house: “cigareeetes and whorsky and wild, wild womern…they’ll drive you crazy, they’ll drive you insaaaaaaaane!”)

This is me with two of the other girls who are “new” to the company.  they’re 2 of my favorites!  The one on the left is performing in Guys & Dolls soon, and we’re going to see her this weekend.  I’m excited since I haven’t seen anyone from the show since the Cast Party!  Feels like forever ago.  Sniff.

Me with the 2 dancer chicks. =)  They rock.  Along with the other dancer chick, who starred in the “dream ballet.”  Whatev.  Freaking dancers.  But yeah, the one on the right is one of my new favorite friends!  She’s another new company member.  The 4 of us have started a Knights of the New Member Roundtable thing, because we’re really dorky like that.  Plus, we like to hang out together and talk about all the company veterans.  HA.  Kidding.  Mostly.

That’s me with the girl who played “Laurey.” She’s so freaking cute and has the perfect Laurey voice.  AND she has twin girls, about 6 months old, and THEY are freaking cute.  She made me laugh a lot backstage with her many stories about “Curly” eating tuna fish before a kissing scene and other such “Rules an Actor Should Know.”  I mean geez.  Honestly, dude.  (Same guy I had to kiss in the LAST show, by the way, though I’m quite sure I’ve already mentioned that somewhere.)

Now onto the fun stuff: after parties!

The cast got together after nearly every show (there were only 6 performances, so that made it a bit easier).  Witness the good times had by all:

That’s about half the cast at dinner after the first Saturday show.  Yay!  I feel sorry for any and all non-cast members who ever got stuck going out with us, because LORD we are obnoxious.  Honestly, when I, of all people, have to yell in order to get a word in edgewise, you know we’re in the midst of some seriously large personalities. AWEsome.

OK, I really don’t think I was drunk there, but this photo kiiiiinda looks like it.  Oh well.  Bygones.  So that’s hot ballet chick from the dream sequence on the left, then the guy who played “Ali Hakim,” who was REALLY good, and then one of my fave gals, M!

LOVE THEM.  That’s us Roundtable girls.  Yay.  Oh, this was after the 2nd Friday performance.

I seem to remember having a conversation with her at some point about how shy she can be.  CLEARLY this was not one of those times.  Hehe.  She’s awesome.

I love this pic of us.  I even put it on my myspace account.  I am a dork.  This girl is a MAC makeup artist, and she did my eye makeup for almost every performance.  Love her.  I wish I could employ her to do my makeup daily.  How great would life be if my makeup was always fabulous?  Oh, in this pic, I’m wearing one of my NEW purple eyeshadows from Urban Decay, and it makes me VERY happy.

OK, that’s us with the hot dancer GUY from the dream ballet.  Dude only started ballet training when he was 18 (he’s 24 now, I think), and he is AMAZING.  Sometimes I hate men.  Only sometimes.

OK, last but not least, a couple of pics from our Cast Party after the final performance.  Notice the yellow mustard stain on my freaking awesome shirt from Kenneth Cole.  Freaking crap.  It’s OK since I had such a good time.

Us dancing during karaoke time.  Question: Had I consumed enough beers to make me dance without much prodding?  Answer: If I have to wonder, that probably means “yes.”

OK, so yeah.  I am in love.  Hardcore.  I won’t deny it.

I love, love, love that boy.  I just want to eat him up.  Sigh.  He’s beautiful.  So anyway, (sorry for the blubbering mess of affection) as of today, we’ve been living together about a week and a half (though most of my stuff is at my parents’ house–I’ll stay with them a few nights a week when I start school in August), and so far, so good.  Keep your fingers crossed.

He gave me those on opening night.  Not why I love him, but they were really pretty, and he got them at the supermarket!  They lasted forever.  Yay.  I love the white.

Us at H’s parents’ lakehouse last month.  I hope things stay this good for a loooong time.

What else should I be covering in this update?  I feel that many of the pictures might have been very boring, but I was hoping to win you over with my photo-intensive post since it’s been so damn long since the last one.  Sorry.  =/

So how are all of YOU doing???
