wow. i mean wow. i have accomplished, like, nothing in the past week. actually, friday i hung up several pictures/etc. in the apartment. so it’s getting closer to being finished/fully decorated.

in other news, i should really stop spending money since i have none.

also, last wednesday i had an interview at the school where i did my student teaching. they would be idiots not to hire me. i am clearly smart, hardworking, and damn charming, to say the least. perhaps i should have said this in my interview. ah well.

i am hoping to hear something this week.

in other news, there is no other news. oh wait, C did have an interview w/the government this morning. though supposedly, that was just the “preliminary” interview, and the second one could happen anytime from 2 weeks from now to 2 months. lovely. more waiting. freaking bureacracy.

we visited C’s parents in the country this weekend. here’s what i did while we were there:
1. laid on the couch watching t.v.
2. ate homemade pound cake his mom made
3. repeat #1
4. repeat #2
5. stood around the grill outside while his dad grilled out
6. repeat #1
7. repeat #2
and so on.

this day really takes the cake, though. i have literally done nothing! AWESOME.

  1. Hey,

My wife and I checked out the first disc of Lost Room tonight. We really liked it! Thanks for the suggestion :). Very creative story.

The other series we watched, which wasn’t quite as good as “Lost Room” is an HBO series that was canceled after two seasons called “Carnivale”. Maybe it is something you might want to check out also. — Ploppy.

  2. ooooh, I love days where you can do absoultely nothing. I’m looking forward to having one in a week or so. I may have to find some pound cake too, because that just sounds delicious.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for both your and C’s job interviews. I remember trying to apply for a job with the court system when I was unemployed and it was so awful, everything just took forever and no one can tell you anything.

    :)
    Lume
