well, you know i’m bored when i’m watching “the ex-wives club” on ABC. these poor people. please, God, don’t let that be me in 10 years! i want to be happily married!
i still haven’t heard anything from the job i interviewed for, but i did get a call from my mentor teacher (who is the team leader of the 3rd grade–which is the position i applied for), and she said that as of friday afternoon, things were looking really good and she hoped i’d be hearing from the principal pretty soon. whoo! so there IS hope. maybe i’ll hear from him tomorrow or wednesday. i will be so relieved if i get the job; friday i had a nervous breakdown after emailing 11 principals in a nearby school district. i felt like they had found someone they liked better but were too afraid to call and tell me. she assured me that wasn’t the case; it was just that there were a lot of things he had to take care of with it being the end of school, etc.
i’ll let you know what happens!
C had a second interview (on the phone) with the government, and i think they’re going to offer him the position pretty soon, but i don’t think he would start till the beginning of july. so i guess that he’ll most likely be going back to his old job for just the month of june (except for the week he’ll be in tennessee for bonnaroo-some music festival–don’t ask me).
at the last minute i decided to take some courses this summer so that hopefully i can finish my Masters degree by next fall. that would be peachy. now the only tricky part is that for the month of june, i’m going to have class from 1-9:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m going to be babysitting my sister’s two sets of twins (yes, all 4 of them) and then those nights i have play rehearsal from 7:00-10:30, and Fridays i’m going to be babysitting some twins from the school where i student taught. WHOO! good times in June, huh?!
ok, i’ve gotta eat something, cuz it’s 8:30. and C is out on the porch waiting for me. it’s nice outside.
