hehe, thanks susan for not linking to me! i guess it depends on how many people read your blog that know me…?? i guess you could just call me “trois” instead of my real name. hehe!

ok, i am supposed to post 7 random tidbits about moi. gosh, i dunno, i find it so difficult to talk about myself. *ahem*

1. i never experienced racism up close and personal until i moved to new york city, and it was a very ugly, scary thing.

2. from the time i was 10 years old, i was basically an only child because all my older half-siblings had moved out by then. yes, i am spoiled.

3. growing up, i spent every saturday night at my grandma’s house while my parents went to dinner, and every saturday night gran and i watched golden girls. i will always enjoy watching gg reruns to remember my gran.

4. i am one of the most laid back people ever, but i am anal retentive about some of the strangest things. like my closet, that is organized by spaghetti strap, sleeveless tanks, short-sleeved, long-sleeved, jackets, skirts, pants, dresses. it’s also separated by pieces that can be worn to work and those that are too casual. this really does make getting ready faster. if you ever saw my house, you may not believe that i was anal retentive about anything, but that’s ok: i’m well-rounded.

5. i have waited tables, been a file clerk, a “bilingual” account representative, a typist for an attorney, a retail clerk at a teenybopper clothing store, a hotel front desk agent, an envelope-stuffer at a jewish rights agency, a transcriptionist of interviews of gay men and their life stories, an office assistant at an automotive manufacturer, and most recently, an elementary school teacher. see? well-rounded.

6. i have been blogging for…about 5 years! WEIRD. i should print out all my old blogs for solidarity one day. except for the ones from d-x that are gone forever. bastards.

7. i am an attention-whore, and i love to be on stage. specifically, singing on stage. i feel most comfortable and at ease when i am singing. be it in the car, in the shower, or in front of 1,000 people. i enjoy singing solo, in small groups or duets, and in large-ass choirs (i sang in a semi-prof. choir in new york, where the director was 90 years old).

whoo hoo!

ok, i’ve got to get ready. going to the giant teacher store to buy stuff for my new classroom! having lunch with mom, sis, and bestfriendk!

thanks, susan for an insta-topic!
