let’s see, let’s see, what to say, what to say…
not a lot going on lately. oh, i guess we DID attend C’s 10 year reunion a few weeks ago. did i talk about that yet? if so, please excuse me. if not, there’s not really much to say about it. he’s from a tiny farming town, and his graduating class had like 40 students. mostly i hung out with his best friend (in high school)’s wife while C and bestfriendfromhighschool played golf. and got the stare-down from C’s ex-girlfriend of 4 years/high school sweetheart. who was blonde. and captain of the cheerleaders. need i say more? it was kind of funny, because of course i spotted her INSTANTLY when she walked in the room (even though i’ve only ever seen like 2 pictures of her in his HS yearbook), but i spent the better part of the day (and i DO mean the entire day–we were there from like 10:30 to 5:00) pretending like i didn’t notice her at all, or even know who she WAS for that matter, because that’s how insignificant she is. HA. i kill me sometimes. i think it worked: hence, the evil-eye-stare-down. ha HA, i say! take that, Blondie! lol.
anyway. what else, what else? my rehearsals for my next show start soon. YAY, as i am more excited about doing this show than i have ever been about doing ANY show. and that’s saying something, i’m sure. it’s a really contemporary show with awesome music, and it’s being staged in a new-york-bohemian-rent-the-musical sort of way. ooh, i should post the group photo from the publicity shoot! yay fun.
i really felt like writing an entry the other day, but alas, i was in the middle of reading the final Harry Potter book, so that was a total no-go. freaking Harry Potter! good lord. i can’t even express how good those freaking books are. i have never read a book where i REALLY could SEE the action happening, THAT’S how vivid the words are. that woman is freaking talented. if you haven’t read them, you should get out from under your rock and go get one and read it and realize that they’re not kids’ books like you thought they were. seriously; you won’t regret it. plus the first few books are much shorter than the last few, so they’re very quick reads. plus, you should just do it anyway because i said so.
i have been working a lot in my classroom to get it all decorated and organized and shit. i’ll try to remember to post pictures when i’m finished. good times! new career! craziness! i think this is going to be a looooong 9 months. freaking kids. gotta learn ‘em.
ok, i’ve got to eat some dinner because the tummy is talking to me.
holla back, now.

Sheesh, I close my eyes for, like, a MINUTE, and next thing I know you have a half dozen new entries on here! Guess I should stop by more often!
Great story about C’s ex giving you the ol’ stink-eye. And it’s nice to know that the captain of the cheerleaders doesn’t ALWAYS win.
I’m currently reading Harry Potter 7. I’m enjoying it so far (only a few chapters in) but I miss Hogwarts.
OK, that’s it for now. Keep up the flurry of posts!!!
